TAVISTOCK Swimming Club travelled to Dorchester for the second round of the National Swimming league.

Races occurred where just fractions of seconds made the difference between first and fourth place.

First places were hard to come by, but were achieved by the younger swimmers: Will Cun-ningham won the 50m breaststroke in the 10/11 years age group, while in the girls 13 and under age group Jessamy Clemens won the 50m butterfly and Beth Thompson won the 50m backstroke.

The swimmers who took part were James Anderson, Emily Attfield, Gavin Ball (2), Sam Bates, Sam Cade, Yvonne Carpenter-Warren (1), Jessamy Clemens (3), Johannis Clifford-Flower, James Close (1), Will Cunningham (2), Harriet Edwards, Ella Ellis, Emily France (2), Jake France (1), Francis, Amber Francis, Flora Germon (2), Tess Harland, Thea Harland, James Lake, Ryan Lillyman (2), Chloe Marks, James Meredith, Laura Meredith, Rosie Milburn, Alfie Morgan (1), George Morgan (1), Ieuan Noakes, Kieran Rookes, Nathaniel Rookes, Luke Stephens (2), Sarah Teague (1), Izzy Teague (1), Beth Thompson, Harry Thompson and Annaliese Wright. The squad worked hard to achieve its final fourth place.
