SOUTH Zeal went into this fixture having lost at Winchester on the last three occasions and also knowing they had lost all seven previous encounters with Winchester in the last three seasons.

Starting well United held there own and kept the score at 0-0 for a long period. A miscommunication handed the home side the lead. That lead was cancelled out moments later as Adam Clark levelled at 1-1.

South Zeal then fell 5-1 behind but never really deserved the score line. Great character was shown throughout a second half which they dominated.

Goals from Ryan Dennis and a first in a Zeal shirt for Jack Davey, gave the away side belief they could turn the game around.

South Zeal’s performance was arguably their best of the season and certainly did not warrant the score line.

A howler from stand-in goalkeeper James Williams killed the momentum and the game finished 6-3.
