OKEHAMPTON Argyle’s annual meeting took place on June 27 in the clubhouse in Simmons Park.
The meeting marked the retirement of treasurer Jim Burdus from the committee after 25 years in various roles for the club and Charlie Bond after 10 years as club secretary. Marian Bond also stood down as 200 club secretary.
Daniel Gibbs takes over the role of treasurer and Neil Clift the role of secretary, in addition to looking after pitch maintenance and continuing as bar manager. Angela Leahy takes over the role of 200 Club secretary.
The manager for next season will be long-serving player Ed Bradshaw who is a qualified FA Level 2 coach and is working towards Level 3. He will have Steve Madge and Jason Roger as his assistant managers.
Training has already begun on Wednesday and Friday evenings at 6.45pm at the clubhouse in Simmons Park and all those interested in playing for the club are welcome.
Recent winners (all £25) in the Argyle 200 club draw are: June 5, number 47. V Jordan;
June 12, number 59, S Ausden; June 19, no 56, P Squires; June 26, number 130 J Burdus;
July 3, number 58, C Beer. Summer bonus draw of £50 was won by number 194, J Westlake.
