LIFTON ease through to the next round of the Devon intermediate cup with a comfortable home win against Belgrave seconds.

In a tightly fought first half, Lifton took the lead after theeir strikers combined — Jon Wild played in veteran Darren Volz to hit the ball across the keeper into the far corner, scoring his first goal for the club and giving Lifton a 1-0 half time lead.

  Lifton came out for the second half knowing they had to pass the ball a bit quicker and needing another goal, to ease the pressure. This came, when Jake Collin’s ran through and dinked the ball over the on rushing goalkeeper.

Volz made it 3-0, with his second and Collins rounded off the game with his second.
