Topsham Town Reserves 3
Chagford 0
AGAINST a side topped up with several more senior players, Chagford finally lost after a run of 16 games undefeated. Their remaining two matches now take on greater significance if they are to achieve promotion. The visitors did have chances but failed to hit the target. Lapford, with games in hand, now top the table and Chagford must now look over their shoulders at Woodbury and Axminster, both of whom have aspirations of their own.

CHAGFORD came within 20 minutes of another upset against promotion contenders and missed the chance of rising up a couple of places.
Cranbrook had most of the play throughout but their hosts battled gamely, showing they can play good football themselves. Liam O’Connell opened the scoring with his fifth goal in four successive matches and Cranbrook looked rattled.
The second half saw Cranbrook become more physical and the referee had a more difficult job to do. In the 69th minute, Brand reacted strongly to a bad tackle and was stunned to see the free-kick awarded to the Cranbrook player. From the resulting cross, Carpenter was left free to fire the ball home.
Soon after O’Connor put in a speculative long range shot that left Ralph standing, the ball curling in to the opposite corner.
