Bere Alston United 4

St Austell 4

FOR a neutral this was a wonderful advertisement for football. Bere had this game won and nearly lost in 30 minutes - 3-1 and cruising.

St Austell made changes and their fast winger tore Bere apart to stand the game on its head to take a 4-3 lead; with only a couple of minutes remaining Bere equalised 30 seconds later. Bere Alston’s goals, Graham Galway (3) and Aaron Johnson.

Liskeard 3

Bere Alston United 8

BERE Alston were 2-0 up after ten minutes but the home side scored after a cross that went in in through a ruck of players. The visitors restored a healthy lead to go in at half-time 3-1 up.

United dominated the second half but their gung-ho attitude could have cost them by wasting chance after chance, only to give Liskeard a toe-hole with two great goals before they stormed into a unassailable lead with goals from James Follett (four) and Chris Bray (2), Darren Philips and Warren Smith.
