DUE to the wintry weather the match was transferred from Langsford Park to the Tavistock College 3G pitch on Saturday.

However visitors Bere Alston were not complaining after they recorded a convincing 3-0 victory against the Lambs’ second team.

Both sides went into the interval goalless but it was Bere Alston who went in front with a Ben Backway header, courtesy of a Darren Phillips cross.

Backway added a second when he finished off neatly a long ball. A corner from Paul Simpson was met by Alex Lowe to head in Bere’s third.

This meant seven wins in the row for the ascending Bere Alston side.
