Devon and Exeter seven

East Budleigh 3

A GREAT start from Okehampton stunned league leaders East Budleigh and continued positive play saw them  4-0 up and seemingly cruising.

At the hour mark the game deteriorated with lots of poor tackles leading to a sin bin for one East Budleigh player, and their manager was also sent from the field of play. This, though, seemed to galvanise them and their three goals late in the match created a tense position for the Argyle players and supporters.

Argyle then had one of their players sin binned and a great last five minutes of defending saw them take the three points and ending East Budleigh’s 100% record.

Meanwhile Argyle’s first team enjoyed a 2-1 away win at Exmouth Town in the Devon and Exeter premier.
