TAVISTOCK Squash's second team represented by Phil Honey, Simon Powell, Richard Baxter, Joe Kuipers and Richard Davies, played their second match with a home fixture against China Fleet two.

Richard Davies made a decent start but lost his way in the next two games to give China Fleet a great start. Joe played a good game against a young and quick opponent who came back strongly in the third and fourth to give China Fleet a 2-0 lead. Richard Baxter gave it everything after coming back from 2-0 down but eventually lost 2-3.

Tavistock man of the match Simon Powell, in a close contest, lost the first but kept his game going to take the match 3-1. Phil Honey, playing his first game for the team, started strongly and after going 8-3 up in the first game, tweaked his Achilles. He played on but went lost 0-3.

China Fleet two proved a decent team and it looks like things will not be too easy for Tavistock two in division three. Man of the match was given to Simon Powell for his win.
