CHAGFORD FC players, past and present, came together on Sunday for a day to celebrate the late Chris Ralph.

Starting with a morning gathering of the club's young trainees and parents, the main event was an afternoon match between the 'Oldies' and the 'Newbies.'

Played in typically moorland conditions, this was an evenly matched contest in which the Oldies absolutely trounced their younger counterparts! However, the match was played in splendid spirit, well refereed and veteran 'keeper Duncan Vincent even enjoyed a steaming cup of coffee while awaiting the ball at his end of the pitch.

Lorraine Ralph was in attendance with her young family to present the awards afterwards, the Ralphy Cup collected by winning skipper Reg Wonnacott. The man of the match award went to Warwick Botham and the 'old git's cardigan' by Adrian Harvey.

The club thank all who supported the event, referee Jon Clark and all those that made the day possible.
