FIVE year-old Ellie Blamey of Bere Alston and her six year-old home bred Shetland pony 'Collytown Free Spirit' had a fantastic 2011 show season in their first year together under saddle.

Among their many wins Ellie and Spirit qualified for The Royal London, Equifest M&M Championships, BSPS Bright Stars Performance Supreme, SWPA Championships and DCHPA Championship Show.

She finished the year by topping a National Shetland Pony showing league for best lead rein and winning the regional SWSPG best child handler 10 years and under.

Equus Farriery Practice will be supporting Ellie with her showing in 2012.
