ATHLETES from across Devon — and even one from Italy — travelled to Tavistock on Sunday for a huge athletics meet at Tavistock College.

The event, which attracted 314 athletes from across the county, was one of four meets making up the Devon Open Series. The series is organised by the Devon County Athletics Association.

There was a diverse range of track and field events on offer for all age groups, from under tens to seniors and veterans.

Tavistock Athletic Club was well represented at the event, with more than 80 TAC athletes taking part in the meet.
