TAVISTOCK Squash and Racketball Club held the main final of their annual handi-capped competition, the John Jameson Trophy.

Dave Tyas won the trophy by beating Will Westlake. Dave got off to a great start with Will making too many unforced errors early on and Dave quickly went 2-0 up.

Will started to play better in the third game and managed to take it 15-12 to make it 2-1 and keep the match alive. However, after some more excellent squash in the fourth game Dave came through to take that 15-11 and the match 3-1. There was a lot of great squash on show which made for an entertaining final for those watching, with both players giving it everything.
