Tavistock seconds v Kingsbridge seconds

A WEAKENED second XI Tavistock side in need of a victory put Kingsbridge into bat at the Ring on Saturday.

A disappointing bowling performance gave the visitors far too many runs.

Hardy, Edmonds and Clark all took advantage of poor bowling. Only Mark Hopkins who took five wickets for 27 bowled well as the visitors posted 224 for 6.

Tavistock were soon in trouble; only John McGahey with 29 looked comfortable as wickets tumbled throughout.

A poor score of 127 was eventually achieved but a Tavistock side now lacking in any confidence need a big improvement to avoid being sucked into a relegation battle.
