HOME side Whitchurch won the toss and elected to bat first; however, they soon lost their first wicket with only two on the board.

Captain Tyler Hunt came to the crease to join opener Nathan Prout with both players never looked in trouble, hitting the ball to all corners of the ground.

After a partnership of 75 runs which included 15 fours Tyler lost his wicket well caught in the deep for 36.

At 86-3 Fynn Hall joined Nathan, both continued to score well adding another 40 runs. Whitchurch finished on 126 with Nathan scoring a fine 57 not out and Fynn Hall 12 not out.

In reply Plymstock started their innings well, Allistar Bond hit his third ball faced for six. With 21 on the board Plymstock lost their first wicket.

Ed Hale briefly took the game to the bowlers before falling for 20. Whitchurch switched their bowlers around giving all ten players a bowl and wickets fell regularly.

Plymstock batted well but ended up 20 runs short. Player of the match Nathan Prout bowled well just missing out on a hat trick. Sam Lawrence playing in his first game bowled a couple of tidy overs.
