IT was a slightly apprehensive Jo-Anne Fletcher and Jane Jackson from Okehampton Running Club who travelled down to Cornwall to take part in The Roseland August Trail organised by Mud Crew Events.
With both having had far from ideal preparations to take on their first Ultra Marathon, their sole aim was to complete the 32 mile Black Rat course. They finished in 8 hours 50 minutes 06 seconds having run the whole race together.
Andy Vallance had a great run at the recent Sticklepath Horseshoe Race to take first place for Okehampton Running Club. This is the third time that Andy has won this event.
Stuart May returned to his native Cornwall to run the St Levan 10k completing it in 42 minutes 30 seconds.
The next ORC race is the Oke Croak – a 10.4 mile fell run with beautiful scenery and views over open moorland — starting at 11am in Simmons Park. Entries on the day or visit the website www.okehamptonrunningclub.com to download an entry form.
