THE sun shone for the Jubilee Trail Run at Peter Tavy and runners from across Devon and Cornwall and even as far as the Cayman Islands towed the line at the Peter Tavy Inn to tackle an arduous five and three quarter mile route which took them to the ancient Langstone on Peter Tavy Great Common and back.

A keenly fought duel at the front saw Launceston runner Dan Rodgers prevail over Tavistock's Adam Holland in just over 33 minutes. Further down the field the runners fought their way to the top of the course before enjoying the wonderful scenery on the descent back to the village.

Thanks go to sponsors who backed the event Dartmoor Brewery, Original Pasty House and Tavistock Hire. Organisers especially thanked Chris and Jo at the Peter Tavy Inn for hosting the event. The organisers hope everyone enjoyed the run and will return for the Peter Tavy Plod in August and full results and photos can be seen at http://www.petertavyplod.co.uk">www.petertavyplod.co.uk
