THE Horrabridge Cavalettes netball team has celebrated its promotion from division three to division two in the Plymouth and District Netball League by acquiring new match kit, thanks to a donation from the Horrabridge Cavaliers.

The original Cavalettes team got together in 2013, and since forming themselves into a Tavistock Netball Club, their progress has been impressive. They have four teams in the club, with the Horrabridge team working its way up the PDNL.

The Cavalettes approached the Horrabridge Cavaliers for a donation towards new kit, and it was delivered just in time to add to the celebration of the team’s promotion at the end of a highly successful season.

Team captain Sonia Burgess said: ‘We are a community based team, so we were delighted to get the donation from the Horrabridge Cavaliers. It will be great to start the season in September in a new division wearing our new kit. Netball as a sport has been given a huge boost following England’s gold medal win at the Commonwealth games, and we would encourage everyone to have a go.’
