YELVERTON Golf Club ladies held their club championships on July 23 and Caitlin Evans-Brand emerged as the overall winner.

Caitlain came in with gross score of 71, net 66 to take the title ahead of runner-up Anne Ashley , gross 89, net 72.

With the lowest gross score of 71 and a net score of 66 Caitlin was the outright winner.

Usually the championships are held over two days and are a 36 hole competition.

Unfortunately the weather conditions on the second day were such that the course was closed due to flooding. It was therefore decided to reduce this year’s competition to 18 holes.
