YELVERTON Golf Club junior member Caitlin Evans Brand has been selected by the English Golf Union for the U16s South West region's team and for golf training.

The 14-year-old, who recently attended a South West assessment day along with 31 other young hopefuls, was one of 12 selected for the team and is now a possible future England player.

Caitlin who plays off a handicap of 6, has seen her handicap tumble over the last 18 months and is regularly seen on the various bespoke practice areas of Yelverton Golf Club.

She has also had a fantastic year in county competitions which was capped off by becoming the Devon Girls U11s champion.
