East Cornwall League Supplementary Cup

Wadebridge 3

Bere Alston United 4

THE wind played havoc as Bere played into it and it assisted a cross hit first time to rocket in to Bere's net.

Bere responded and two minutes later Bere played the ball around and a superb C Bray dummy let W Smalley run free to drill home. More good defence football on the ground caused panic in the Wadebridge side and a miss hit clearance rebounded to D Follet to fire home.

In the second half Bere Alston had the wind at their back and the ball constantly ran away from them. Bere's third was a rocket free kick by M Wheeler, which went in via a deflection.

Back came the Bridgers and inside of a minute cut the deficit.

Wadebridge had a chance to draw level when they were awarded a penalty, only for J Dickson to save with his legs. This spurred Bere on and a C Bray thunderbolt was split by the keeper and D Follet followed up to score.

With time running out again Bere failed to clear and Will Westlake sliced into his own net.
