AFTER a superb season of cricket seeing Bridestowe finish top of Devon County League E Division, Tamar League A division and Mid-Devon T20, the club were delighted see a good turn out for the annual meeting.

Positive reports from both the chairman Neon Reynolds and captain Mark Butler reflected the successes of the season for both the experienced and younger players coming through. Thanks were extended to all those who have supported the club this year in many ways, including donating time and materials to renovate the sheds, keep the ground in such great condition and, of course, the supporters who come along to cheer the team on.

New chairman Mark Fogerty said:?'It was great to hear about the plans already in place for next season and with the hope of being able to run two teams the excitement of welcoming new players to the club was great to see.

'Of course the winter is the time to really focus on getting things ready for next year and with the need for a suitable practice space to allow the team to continue to develop, much talk was had around the need for fundraising. We look forward to bringing you more news in this area and inviting you to join in some fun events we plan to hold in the coming year.

'With the successful appointment of a new chairman, Mark Fogerty, who is also still a regular player, a new treasurer, Geoff Allan and a team effort for joint secretary and fundraiser in Jo and Gideon Pritchard, as well as an unchanged winning formula of captain Mark Butler and vice-captain Sam Ewen we know the club is in good hands and will be ready to step confidently into next season.'
