Supplementary Cup

Bude 1

Bere Alston United 2

BERE were at their belligerent best in this semi-final. Paul Simpson beat three men on the edge of the box to leave the Bude keeper stranded, then Bere gave away a penalty which was blasted over the bar.

The second half was full of incident with Chris Bray running clear to score Bere's second goal.

Bude came back, but Bere's defence, marshalled by Edd Hillier, stood firm.

Bude got back into the game with another penalty which was put away.

Bere wasted chances when good defending saved Bude, with Jason Cordice chipping the keeper for a Bude defender to bicycle kick clear from under the bar.

Every Bere player deserves praise for a job well done.
