The event was jointly organised by Tavistock Athletic Club and Tamar Trails and three Bere Alston Trekker’s Lisa Birch, Debbie and Paul Ashton took part.

The three BATs ran together and their finishing times were recorded as Lisa Birch 1 hours 03 minutes 05 seconds, Debbie Ashton 1.03.08 and Paul Ashton 1.03.09.

On Sunday, four BATs made the short journey to Totnes to take part in Teignbridge Trotter’s Totnes 10K.

The race is nearly all off road and mostly flat, start and finishing at Borough Park in central Totnes following the beautiful River Dart on tarmac, grass, and trail.

On a warm day, Paul Ashton led the BATs in in a time of 59.22, closely followed by Debbie Ashton 1.03.56, Jim Medhurst 1.04.21 and Marcia Macey 1.12.59.
