BERE Alston's defence was non existent in the first 20 minutes and were lucky to be only a couple of goals down as they were ripped apart. Only keeper Gerald Lake saved them and two James Follet headers made the score 3-2 at half-time.

A half-time rocket from manager Will Westlake and Nathan Blamey turned the home side around and Bere Alston dominated the half. Ben Stephens equalised with 15 minutes to go as they rampaged through the Bridgers' defence.

Five minutes later a Chris Bray centre was headed home for Bere Alston to go in front; this was soon followed by Alex Lowe turning two players in the box to shoot under the advancing keeper.

It was Lowe who won a penalty for his side when he teased his marker, who pulled him down. Ben Stephens stepped up to score to complete Bere Alston's remarkable turn around.

Midfielders Paul Simpson and James Baker ran the game for the home side.
