ON Sunday eight Bere Alston Trekkers (BATs) made the short trip into Plymouth to take part in Plymouth Round Table’s annual January Jaunt.

The January Jaunt is a 10k run from the speedway track at Marsh Mills into Saltram and back. The route is off road, on a mixture of tarmac or sealed surface paths, compacted gravel and well maintained woodland tracks.

The event was well attended with all proceeds donated to the Round Table’s chosen charities. Jim Medhurst led the BATs in, shortly followed by Tanya Argue.

The BATs team also comprised Debbie Ashton, Lisa Birch, Sam Harte-Latremouille, Dominika Nawalany, Derek Hicks and Ben Saul.
