Whitchurch v Kenn
Whitchurch followed their first win of the season with a comfortable draw against Kenn. Batting first Hall (68) and Credicott (26) posted 39 in a cautious opening period.
Billy Barriball came in just after the drinks interval and immediately the tempo of the game changed. Scoring fluently he hit 11 fours and five sixes in an unbeaten 101 that took the game away from Kenn. He was well supported by Dickinson who contributed a quick fire 29 off 17 deliveries including one well struck 6.
In reply Kenn dropped anchor in an attempt to replicate Whitchurch's first innings. Facing 34 deliveries Dart scored 6 while his partner Gosling scored 40. Muffin (25) came in with Kenn well placed on 87-1 and raced to 25 before he was well caught by Sambells off the bowling of Kerswill (3 -50).Three wickets fell in quick succession and Whitchurch began to smell a second successive victory. A solid partnership of 75 between France (37) and Woolacott (57) chewed up 14 overs leaving the tail to negotiate the last few overs. Despite varying the bowling and some close calls Kenn managed to hang on.
