BERE did not play well in the first half and gave the ball away continually and rode their luck. With almost the last kick of the half Dan Follett volleyed home from 25 yards — the ball hitting the post and re-bounding in off the keeper.

Saltash took two minutes to draw level in the second half; Bere's keeper punching a cross onto a Saltash player's head which re-bounded into the net.

What followed was dire by the home side as Bere's keeper and defence had nightmares.

Harry Fry scored Bere's second with a 20 yard screamer — the only good thing about a shocker second half for the united team.
