Devon ladies' league Okehampton Argyle ladies 2 Brixham Villa ladies 6 HAVING lost 10-2 in a recent friendly against Brixham, Argyle went out looking to settle the score but just fell short.  Okehampton started really brightly and within four minutes Sian Aslett broke through the Brixham back line to score the opening goal after the ball came off both posts. Brixham hit back five minutes later with a long shot that dipped over Maddy Fox's head and into the net. Their second followed shortly after when a long free kick bounced once over the onrushing Fox and into the net. Argyle had numerous chances over the next 20 minutes which saw Aslett hit the bar and Gilbert just shooting wide. Against the run of play Brixham managed a third once again from a direct free kick. Okehampton started the second half as they started the first and within 90 seconds they had their second goal after Emily Martin played the ball through to Aslett who rushed on and finished well. Brixham scored their fourth from a corner and the fifth followed shortly. Brixham also saw a penalty hit the post. Bonnie Harris and Dani Dobrosky both saw efforts just go wide of the posts for Argyle before Brixham rounded things off with their sixth. With a bit more luck Argyle could have taken something from this game.
