ALEX Hobbs of Tavistock Swimming Club competed in the Gloucester City level three meet which took place at the GL1 pool in central Gloucester.

This highly competitive gala enabled Alex to swim in a range of 50 and 100 metre short course events.

Alex competed in five events at the gala, achieving four personal best times, including taking over 28 seconds off his previous time in the 100m freestyle. He also achieved personal best times in his 100 backstroke (by more than 11 seconds), 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke, while just missing a personal best in the 50m breaststroke by 0.80 seconds.

The club congratulated Alex for his achievements in his favoured backstroke and freestyle events.
