THE next monthly 5K run held in Tavistock Meadows will be donating all the proceeds raised by the event to Sport Relief.
The 5kool Run is held on the third Saturday of each month — this month’s race falls on March 17, the kick off date for Sport Relief week.
Starting and finishing on the running track at Tavistock College, the five kilometre route goes on footpaths around the back of the college before going under the subway and doing a loop of the Meadows Park, before returning to the track.
Organisers hope that participants will wear red noses or perhaps fancy dress.
Entries cost just £2 (enter on the day at 8.45am at the track) and the run starts at 9.15am.
Entry is open to everyone but organisers stress that under 11s must be accompanied by an adult. It’s also an opportunity for participants to raise sponsorship for the Sport Relief charity.
