BOTH teams consisted of powerful forwards, but Truro had an exceptionally quick winger who made the most of having an extra player by creating overlaps.
Truro went into an early lead and within 20 minutes had notched up a 17-point lead.
Tavistock showed their determination and spoilt the Truro game plan by keeping the ball tight. The forwards worked well together picking up and driving forward.
The conditions were horrendous, passes were short and went to hand.
Tries seemed to come thick and fast — the first was taken over the line by Claire White, who went on to score a further three. Emily Johns also had an exceptional game putting in huge tackles and constantly knocking the Truro players backwards. She went on to score two tries which Teri Cole converted.
As the game progressed it became more difficult for each team to work out their own players. The final try was created from a short pass from Mandy Blackmore enabling Zoe Colton to power over.
