Devon and exeter three
South Zeal Utd 3
Crescent 4
SOUTH Zeal took the lead after 10 minutes on Saturday when Redd Cann broke through down the left and finished well at the near post.
However, as in previous home games this season, instead of increasing their lead two defensive errors resulted in them conceding two goals within a 15 minute spell to go behind 1-2.
Phil Evans put Zeal back on level terms 10 minutes into the second half and Redd Cann put the home side 3-2 up after 70 minutes when he beat three defenders and finished well from close range.
Instead of going on to claim all three points they could not increase their advantage and allowed the visitors to break on them continuously.
Crescent equalised 15 minutes from time when after Reg Wonnacott had made a great save from a penalty the resulting long throw-in evaded the home defense and a header from close range at the far post made the score 3-3.
South Zeal were still doing most of the attacking but another break down the left from Crescent resulted in their winner as Zeal had pushed on in an effort to secure all three points.
With only minutes left Ben Davey had a great chance to get a point for Zeal but a great save from the Crescent keeper secured all three points for the visitors.
