MEMBERS of Okehampton Youth Club can enjoy using new sports equipment — thanks to a donation of £300 from the EX20 Lottery. Christine Marsh, representing the lottery, presented the cheque to members and committee helpers at a recent club night. The club would like to express its thanks for the donation. l DANCE away the winter chill at Okehampton Youth Club's family disco next month. The fund-raising event runs from 7.30-11pm on Saturday, December 2 at Okehampton Conservative Club. Tickets are now available from the youth club or Chastey's Shoes. Tickets are £3 for adults and £2 for children. The event will feature a bar, buffet and draw. No unaccompanied children allowed. l EAGLE-eyed youngsters were among the prize winners in the spot the mistake window competition which ran during Okehampton Carnival week The winners were: 1st, Natalie Isaac, winning a £5 Boots gift voucher; 2nd, Kyle and Ellis Clark, winning a box of chocolates and 3rd, the Forrester family, who won sweets. Patrick Fuller helped organise this year's competition on behalf of Okehampton Youth Club for his Duke of Edinburgh Award. All proceeds go to youth club funds. Thanks to everyone who entered and all the shops which took part.
