Cornwall Junior Cup, round four

Dobwalls 0

Gunnislake 2

HAVING been fortunate to have been drawn at home again Gunnislake had to concede the advantage for a third consecutive round and travel to their high flying premier division opponents.

Dobwalls had most of the possession and territory but a well organised and disciplined Gunnislake matched their opponents all the way and caused the defence difficulties.

The deadlock was broken ten minutes into the second half. A Joe Pulley through-ball came via Andy Wakem to Andy Southcott and the experienced midfielder evaded three opponents before finding the corner of the goal for an excellent opener.

On 80 minutes Gunnislake scored a more direct goal. Goalkeeper Andy Woodward's kick cleared all the Dobwalls outfield players. Lee Underwood took the ball past the home keeper and walked it over the line.

As a result of this tremendous victory Gunnislake look forward to an Eastern section semi-final.

This Saturday Gunnislake make the long trip to St Mawes for what is always a tough league fixture.
