INSPIRATION Church in Okehampton is looking for unwanted old mobile phones to help raise much needed funds for the Joshua Project in South Africa.
In the past the church has supported many children's projects in Kenya, South Africa and Zambia.
The Joshua Project provides a safe haven for vulnerable children living on the streets by offering support, education and training.
The project serves as a place of refuge where children living on the streets and at risk can come to receive acceptance and support in a caring environment.
The project owns a building with offices, classrooms, a kitchen, ministry and child care rooms, as well as ablution facilities and a skills development section.
Vulnerable children are served on a daily basis with food, education, care and an opportunity to develop their skills.
The founder of the Joshua Project, Jan van der Kooij, recently visited Okehampton Primary School and spoke to some of the children.
Anyone who has an old mobile phone can hand it in or post it through the letter box at The Inspiration Centre, on Northfield Road, Okehampton.
