POLICE are warning youngsters to stay away from St Michael's Church in Princetown, which is currently undergoing renovation works.

PC Alastair Fry said although the church was fenced off, youngsters from the village were still gaining access and climbing on the scaffolding.

PC Fry said: 'It is extremely dangerous and someone could get badly hurt — we need parents to be vigilant.'

PC Fry also appealed for information following the theft of works equipment at the church earlier this month.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious is asked to contact PC Fry at Tavistock Police Station.
