JUDGES at Lewdown Flower and Produce Show, which took place on August 28, congratulated the young on the high quality and number of entries submitted.

The judges said all the children?s classes were well supported and the quality of entries was exceptional.

They urged the youngsters to get their parents to enter the show in future years. The children?s section provided keen competition in the garden in a tray, home-made cards and cookery sections.

Some of the youngsters even beat the adults in the cookery section open to all.

Although the weather this year has been difficult for gardeners, the vegetable section still produced high quality, as did the floral and cookery sections.
