Cheriton and Tedburn Young Farmers' Club has again handed over a large cheque to a charity close to members' hearts.
They gave £4,600 to Force the Exeter-based cancer charity that had helped a young friend who was battling cancer.
Secretary Chris Berry said: 'It's times like that you realise the importance of such charities, it has given us an extra drive to raise money this year.
'There are so many people we owe thanks to, the whole community around us have been so supportive, from the individuals and companies who have generously donated towards our promise auction to the local Harepath shoot who hosted the charity clay pigeon shoot, these people we cannot thank enough.'
Other fundraising events the club has completed throughout the year include a dung sale, sponsored walk, coffee morning, charity farm work and individual sponsored cycle rides.
