XAVIA Daw followed in her mother's footsteps by coming third in the East Cornwall Primary League cross country series — she was the third highest scorer over five races. Congratulations also go to Sam Lane De Courtin who also came third in his year group. The new Ginsters Juniors running club takes off with great enthusiam, meeting at Callington leisure centre at 6.45pm every Thursday — all welcome. Head coach Sharon Daw has been very busy with the new club along with many races. On Sunday May 4 she cycled 100 miles on Dartmoor in 80 degrees and the previous Sunday saw her compete in the Saltash half-marathon in very warm condiitons. She was second lady home and the following day she came third at the Kernow five- miler.
