WHITCHURCH Wayfarers Cricket Club held their annual colts review and prize presentation for the season recently.
Peter Willetts, of Chilcotts Solicitors, main sponsors of the club, presented the prizes.
All the age groups played in the Plymouth Palladium Youth League and have had a very successful season with the under 11s, 13s, 15Bs and 15As all finishing mid-table.
The under 15As won the Devon knockout cup in a thrilling final against Bideford, but progress to the national final was halted by a powerful Cornish side from St Just.
The under 17s probably had the best record, finishing second in their league to eventual winners Plympton and lifted the league knockout Cup a couple of weeks ago against Tavistock at the Ring.
Away from the club, Ian Gray, Charles Brereton, Stuart Hele (u13s), Tom Jackson (u14) and James Kaminski (u15) have all represented West Devon in the Devon regional championship, with Tom Jackson going one step further and playing for Devon under 14s in the county championship.
