TEIGNMOUTH arriving with nine payers meant Stuart Humphries playing for the opposition and a game of ten players each side, which made it a forward battle.
Teignmouth, with a large front five, started the stronger and turned pressure into points with an early converted try.
Okehampton then started to win more possession and move the ball wide away from the Teignmouth forwards, James Heard having a good run, being tackled just short of the Teignmouth line.
From a penalty tap, forwards Paul Russell, Simon Heard, Nick Brown and Richard Friend drove into the Teignmouth forwards, setting up quick ruck ball for Will Heard to pick up, dart around players and score in the corner.
Okehampton kept up steady pressure resulting in a maul just inside the Teignmouth half with Will Heard, scrum-half, finding Jake Chisholm on the blind-side wing with a bit of room to score an excellent try breaking two tackles.
The second half was evenly matched with Scott Simpson having a real battle with his opposite prop, Tom Brown having some fine runs and good tackling by Darcy Heard. The only try of this half came from a tap penalty with Scott having a determined run, breaking two tackles to score,with the sure-footed Brown converting all three tries.
