TAVISTOCK AFC Specials played at Plymstock School in the penultimate league fixtures of the Devon Ability Counts leagues.
The Tavistock U16s won two and drew one in their matches with Jake Riddolls scoring his first hat-trick.
The boys played really well and two of this squad will go now up into the Adult leagues next season so its been a good stepping stone for them
As for the league two Tavistock side they played superbly winning five and drawing two.
Allen Lewis, one of the organisers of the Tavvy Specials, said it is noticeable this season that many of the sides from around Devon who are taking part are improving really well.
Andy Trigger scored once again for Tavistock while Harry Sharp is improving all the time in defence and goalkeeper Ben Burnard saved some hard shots from long range shots.
Bobby Upham hit a scorcher from the centre spot to equalise and top scorer Tom Wakenshaw added a few more to his tally.
'The team as a whole are a credit to the club and should take the division two title when the last matches take place at Crowndale on Sunday, May 8,' said Allen. 'Please come along and support the ever growing Tavi Specials, these Ability Counts Leagues are inspiring.'
