TAVISTOCK Young Farmers' Club had a successful year of fundraising last year, which brought in several thousand pounds for their nominated charity.

Enthusiasm was in abundance as the young farmers put on a number of fundraising activities to raise £3,000 for Help for Heroes.

The yearly dung sale, several discos and a prize draw at the annual dinner and dance were all well supported.

The young farmers' club expressed thanks to everyone for their help and support.

The club has a busy programme of activities for this year, including stock judging, shearing, discos, sports and the annual dung sale in March.

The club's chosen charity for this year is Dartmoor Search and Rescue.
