TRANSITION Tavistock is hosting an 'open space discussion' this Sunday (November 15) at the town's Parish Rooms.

The question for discussion will be 'Sustainable Tavistock and villages — How do we work towards this?'

Everyone interested in the sustainable future of Tavistock and its surrounding parishes is invited to come along at 2pm.

Kate Royston from Transition Tavistock said: 'Open space discussions enable everyone to contribute and take responsibility for their ideas.

'Let's work together and set the scene for our collective actions towards achieving a Sustainable Tavistock and Villages.

'Discussions may include energy efficiency and local energy security, waste reduction, local food production and sourcing, transport and local communication. The agenda is set by those attending on the afternoon.'

Transition Tavistock is a non-profit organisation of people from Tavistock and its surrounding parishes who have come together with the aim of supporting a more sustainable community in the area.
