THE first phase of the public consultation process for the Tavistock and District Market and Coastal Towns Initiative has now been completed.
To reach this stage, the members of the TDMCTI steering group have put in hours of hard work, but we would not have succeeded without the help of many other individuals and groups who have offered us their time and expertise.
We would therefore, through your columns, like to thank the town clerk of Tavistock Town Council and his staff, officers of West Devon Borough Council, the head librarian of Tavistock library and her staff, the staff of Tavistock and District Council for Voluntary Service, Tavistock College, Tavistock Youth Council, the Stannary Band, Tavistock town crier, and last but not least, the Tavistock Times Gazette for your help with publicising the events.
The MCTI process has certainly demonstrated that Tavistock and district has a wealth of facilities and people that can be mobilised in the service of the community.
Cllr Gretta Madigan
Chair, Tavistock and District Market and Coastal Towns Initiative Steering Group
