WORK is still ongoing on Dartmoor Railway?s stock at Meldon. Volunteers can be seen at weekends and during weekdays painting carriages and renovating the inside of coaches as well as working on engines. Dartmoor Railway says people are still needed to help out with keeping the station in good order as well as becoming more involved in the fascinating task of preparing rolling stock for the forthcoming arrival of a steam locomotive. Prospective volunteers can contact Judy at Okehampton Station on 01837 55637.
