A BAKING tray full of Yorkshire puddings caught fire in the kitchen of the Drewe Arms in Drewsteignton last Saturday. Fire appliances from Chagford, Moretonhampstead and a four-wheel drive vehicle from Bovey Tracey were called out to the incident shortly after midday. The fire in the commercial oven was out upon arrival and the gas supply was isolated and the kitchen made safe. Around ten people who were drinking in the pub at the time had to be evacuated from the premises.
