A PANTOMIME performance of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' by Winkleigh YFC raised a giant sum for their two chosen charities.
After competing in the Tarka group pantomime competition in Bude, the group decided to use their five months of rehearsals to give a polished extra performance to raise money for two charities.
The group chose to support Farm Crisis Network, which provides pastoral and practical support to farming people during periods of anxiety and stress, and Farms for City Children, which provides inner city children with the opportunity to experience the workings of farm life.
Performing the sellout panto on February 25, the group raised £700, dividing the money evenly between the two charities.
Winkleigh YFC expressed thanks to everyone involved for their generosity.
The club welcomes new members. To join, call Heather on 07531 747687.
