ONE lucky visitor to the Tavistock Food and Drink Festival this July could win a year's supply of Burts Chips. The Burts Land Rover will be on display in the Food Court throughout the festival, and will be full of bags of their nationally famed chips, as part of their sponsorship of this year's food festival. Festival visitors will be invited to guess the number of bags and the winner will then win a box of mixed chips every month for a year. Each bag will contain either 18 bags of potato chips or ten bags of root vegetables, and the winner will be able to choose the flavours they want on a monthly basis. To cope with the expected 10,000 visitors, additional Park and Ride arrangements have been made for both days of the festival. The facility is the same as for the Balloon Festival in Crowndale Road and will be organised by Tavistock Lions and the Round Table. A free shuttle bus service will operate to and from the festival venue on both days.
